What is Reflexology?
Advanced reflexology with Wendy is not a standard Reflexology treatment/course. It is used as part of a treatment protocol, based not only on the concept that specific points on the feet and hands correspond to different organs, glands and body systems, but alongside blood work and herbal medicine. Structured pressure is applied in sequences and advanced techniques to these reflex points with the aim of promoting deep relaxation, encouraging a sense of balance and supporting the body’s natural processes as treatment progresses. Clients report feeling much calmer and more at ease after sessions, able to handle stressors better. Reflexology, while not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure illness, does allow to pinpoint through the reflexes of the feet areas of imbalance and what needs to be worked on, based on 20 years of clinical practice.

Reflexology is based on mapped reflex points on the feet & hands that are related to different areas and systems of the body. We often describe tenderness or “congestion” in these reflexes as areas of tension or heightened sensitivity. Applying controlled pressure in specific sequences stimulates local nerve endings, increase microcirculation, and influencing the autonomic nervous system, which supports relaxation and a shift toward parasympathetic (“rest and digest”) activity. While the concept of clearing congestion is rooted in reflexology theory, proposed physiological mechanisms focus on neuromuscular response, circulation, and stress modulation.

Reflexology sessions are often described as a full-body reset achieved through the feet or hands. As specific reflex points are worked, clients frequently notice a measurable shift from mental overactivity to physical calm - slower breathing, warmer extremities, softened muscle tone, and a clearer head. Many report sleeping more deeply that night and feeling less wired or tense in the days that follow. Rather than masking symptoms, reflexology aims to help the nervous system move out of a prolonged stress response and into a restorative state, making it a powerful complement to a busy, high-demand lifestyle.
Reflexology’s benefits, when done right, go way beyond the nervous system. Because the body is mapped on the feet, it is possible to influence many of the body’s pathways to include hormones, the insulin system, respiratory and digestive system/bowels.

Reflexology can benefit everyone from children to teenagers and adults of all ages who are looking to actively support their wellbeing, particularly those experiencing ongoing stress, mental fatigue, disrupted sleep, or the physical effects of a fast-paced lifestyle.
It is often chosen by professionals under sustained pressure, parents balancing multiple demands, individuals navigating life transitions, or anyone seeking structured time to regulate their nervous system, as part of a treatment protocol.
Reflexology is also wonderful to support the fertility journey, during pregnancy, postpartum recovery all the way to menopause.
